  • Sleeping Tips During Flares?

Posted by Michael Quadri on October 31, 2022 at 9:00 am

Making sure that we get an adequate amount of sleep is very important. It is even more important for a person with sickle cell so they can go through the day with as much energy as possible. Ideally, the recommended amount of sleep one should be getting is ‘round 7/8 hours a night, but with the busyness of life, it is easier said than done, especially when sickle cell flares hit.

Approximately how much sleep are you getting each night? Do you have tips for getting better sleep amid sickle cell flares?

Usually, I’m not taking enough time for sleep during working days about 5 to 6 hours maximum but at weekend I’m taking much time about 9 to 10 hours sleep, I know that’s is not perfect sleep routine, I can’t sleep early every day.

@virus, I agree, it isn’t always practical to get the perfect nights sleep
