    It’s good that you can find some form of relief in thesw things. @ephraim771 what is your favourite genre of music, or what types of books would you read during a crisis?

    I can imagine this experience being a complete invasion of privacy and it may not be the best thing for patients, but unfortunately, many hospitals do not have the resources to accommodate people in individual rooms.

    I recently read Margarida Maia column about Stem Cell Transplant. Both the positives, but the challenges that are still present.

    Very good read, I’d recommend!

    At the moment I believe Attack on Titans is the anime to watch for me.
    I recently started a new one called BlueLock which is about football and I am thoroughly enjoying it

    The consumption of alcohol goes hand in hand with dehydration, which is a well-known trigger of a sickle cell crisis, so I think that extra caution should be taken when drinking!

    I feel that disconnecting sometimes can really be useful and it’s good you have found what works for you.

    I am intrigued… What videos games do you play? and on what console?

    @virus

    I understand that the pain can be so unbearable that the only thing you can do is take medication and rest till the pain subsides. It is important that you do what’s best for you and listen to your body.

    @enorris

    I am happy you have such a caring and understanding son that can support you through the pain of a crisis. It is amazing when you have understanding family members who are also supportive.

    I recently started Insanity which is an at home workout and it is as insane as the name implies. So far I have been doing it for 32 days straight and I am trying to complete the entire 9 week program. It has helped me create a good routine which has been working quite well for me

    I am a creature of habit, once I like something I tend to stick with it forever lol

    I moved out of my parents place, a couple of years ago and I am still registered to my GP/Doctors there. I’d rather travel over an hour to see a doctor I am familiar So I don’t move unless I absolutely have to.

    Lool @virus you had me at electrically bill!

    At the moment, I live by myself so I have been extremely apprehensive in putting the heating on, But I think it is starting to get cold enough that I can’t ignore it now. I am similar to you in the sense where I do not like heat directly on my body, I tend to become very lethargic and stroppy. So your suggest seems more like a bit of me!

    Spending more time with family and taking care of yourself is so important and I believe at times it can easily get overlooked because of how busy life gets.

    I am happy you have a good support network in your husband and also focusing on taking care of yourself and your spirtiuality.

    Thank you so much for sharing @viviane141. Wishing you nothing but the best!

    Drinking water does feel like a chore at times so I understand why your intake may be lower than you wish @healed56. Is there anything that you think you could do (or anyone who is also in your position) to help encourage a higher water intake?
