Hi my name is Russell, my wife and I lost our only child to Sickle Cell Disease, his name was Marcus Trey Greene, he went to Clarke Central High School in Athens Ga. Mary and I are constantly trying to be advocates for Sickle Cell Disease, Trey was very outgoing, he also was in the marching band, where he played the trumpet, I’m hopeful that science will direct some of the medical professionals to get involved with trying to make a cure for Sickle Cell, Trey Sickle Cell lead to heart failure, Trey had a heart transplant in 2014, we lost him on July 15th 2015 at 16 years old.
