Do you ever take a “day off” from sickle cell?
I have honestly had those days where I act like I do not have sickle cell. On such days I am very relaxed when it comes to the things I usually do in the name of staying as healthy as possible. I don’t drink much water, I’m more daring when it comes to exposing myself to cold environments, I may not use my vitamins/medicine…the list goes on.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING SUCH THINGS!!! But I am trying not to apply so much pressure to myself – I am only human and sometimes things slip.
Have you ever had such days?
