    Have you ever had to explain what sickle cell is to a health care professional?

    Not everybody knows what sickle cell is, and this doesn’t not exclude people working in the medical field.

    I have heard many stories of fellow sickle cell warriors who’ve seen doctors google sickle cell in front of them, then go on to consult them…this doesn’t really instil confidence.

    I also recall explaining to a first responder during a crisis what sickle cell is…safe to say I was not impressed.

    I’d love to hear your experiences!
