How do you explain the seriousness of your condition to others
When it comes to explaining what sickle cell is, it is so easy to tell someone the facts while brushing over the impacts that it has on you every day. that is something I admit to having done on occasions where I didn’t want to/didn’t feel the need to delve deeper into sickle cell.
However in the instances where we do need to talk about the seriousness of sickle cell (e.g. with an employer or loved one), how do you go about it?
