Dealing with sickle cell has its downs, and getting hit with bad news is never an easy thing, no-one really teaches you how to cope.

What is you process when hearing bad news regarding your health?

I usually say this too shall pass and then I pray about it. I have been fortunate to have a good hold on my disease. I clean and stay away from germs. As much as possible, I don’t invite a lot of people around me so the infection rate is low. Any news I usually get is within sickle cell disease realm. Liver function, heart, oxygen, (which I’m on bc Blood is low)
