Do you drink alcohol? If so, what do you do to ensure that it doesn’t trigger a crisis.

I have been advised that for every alcoholic drink I have, I should consume a glass of water, but I find that it is never really as practical as it sounds, so instead, I just opt to drink less alcohol than initially intended.

The consumption of alcohol goes hand in hand with dehydration, which is a well-known trigger of a sickle cell crisis, so I think that extra caution should be taken when drinking!
