  Over the phone appointments

  Due to COVID, I haven’t had a face to face appointment with my haemotologist in years. All my appointments are over the phone, and it’s safe to say that I prefer them in person.

  I find that whenever my phone rings for an appointment, my brain goes blank, and everything I thought of mentioning in the 3 months between my appointments has been forgotten. I also feel like I am being rushed to wrap up the appointment. What would normally be a 20-minute conversation was reduced to a record-breaking 6 minutes over the phone.
