• What Keeps You Going?

Dealing with sickle cell is not easy, and at times we may feel like giving up. In these moments, what keeps you going?

For me, it’s my loved ones. Seeing how much they care for me encourages me to keep pushing.

There are times when I may not be looking after myself in the way I should be e.g. not using my medication consistently and not drinking enough water, but seeing the way my loved ones take it upon themselves to check up on me and make me a priority in their lives is very touching. It makes me want to do better.

I love this @virus! It’s great to hear that they are a strong motivator for you. Loved ones truly make all the difference, more than they even know!!
