Unfortunately Michael, I think our healthcare system is on the brink of collapse.I found out about two years ago, that most doctors will no longer take in Sickle Cell patient. Everything is about a dollar. But definitely carry my own life insurance.

I have been trying to get life insurance but denied due to SCD. Which insurance company/ies are out there that will not mind insuring a person with SCD?

Thanks for your responses Rodney and Sam, have you ever considered going through your employer? Usually employers have insurance programs they carry out for their employees. It may be worth trying with your employer.
