Hey everyone! Hope you all had a safe and relaxing weekend.

I wanted to ask if anyone here does online therapy. With all of the stress and anxiety in the world right now, it’s as good a time as any to focus on mental health. And since we’re all on lockdown, online therapy is a great alternative to in-person appointments.

There’s one service called Talkspace, which offers monthly or biweekly video calls and weekday text chats. They don’t accept insurance at the moment, but I’m curious if any of you have experience with Talkspace or BetterHelp.

Does anyone here use an online therapy service? What has your experience been like?

I’ve used headspace and calm, although I don’t have a paid subscription. I also use my EAP to call into a therapist over the phone. Once covid calms down, I will probably go in for my four free sessions for the year for counseling.

I am a very private person, so doing Zoom has really heightened my anxiety. I do Zoom for my religious services.

I pray, do YouTube meditation videos, and listen to positive thinking YouTube audiobooks.

Thank you for sharing Kisha, it is great to know that you are taking time to focus on your mental health.

Has there been anything specifically you have watched or listened to that has been particularly useful?
